Monitor your portfolio without micromanaging it.
hindsight gives VCs, angels, and strategic partners a read-only layer across decisions, goals, reviews, and weekly digests — with explicit account consent, per-record privacy overrides, and an audit trail companies can inspect.
The investor demo signs you in instantly with seven fictional portfolio companies (full decisions, goals, and weekly digests) connected to a demo VC firm — no email or OTP. Use “Sign out” when you are done; nothing is shared with production workspaces you already use.

The problem
You see outcomes, not the reasoning that produced them.
Board decks go stale the day they ship. Email updates flatten nuance. Monthly calls replay highlights, not the decision log. hindsight preserves the operating context founders already capture — in a structure built for outside observers who should not be in the workflow.
Real-time visibility
Portfolio grid with goal health, review cadence, and decision velocity per company.
No micromanagement
Read-only by design: no comments, no edits, no Slack-style participation.
Portfolio-wide patterns
Cross-company insights respect each workspace’s investor-visible data and per-record privacy flags.
Reports & audit
Workspace owners see investor activity in Settings → Investors. Cross-portfolio insights and read-only company workspaces are live; scheduled LP packs and richer exports roll out as investor billing finishes hardening.
How it works
Two-sided connections with account sovereignty.
Companies manage invites, approvals, scopes, and revocations under Settings → Investors—including funds that are new to hindsight (we email a secure link so their firm and connection are created together). Investors sign up on a separate path from operators, use Portfolio to request access with the workspace owner’s email, or invite a company that is not on hindsight yet so the link completes when the team joins. Either side can decline. Defaults favor transparency until you narrow decisions, goals, reviews, weekly digests, scoped AI chat, or exports per connection.
Trust mechanics
- Per-decision and per-goal “hide from investors” overrides.
- Account-visible audit log of investor views and exports.
- Independent billing: companies keep their workspace subscription; investors pay per active connection.
- If a company’s operator subscription lapses, investors keep a short grace window of read access, then the connection pauses until the workspace is active again.
